- Dive 1 - PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy

PADI Advanced Diver Knowledge Development
PADI Advanced Diver Knowledge development modules generally consist of knowledge reviews of areas that you will be instructed to pre-read. The knowledge review is assessed your PADI Instructor to allow him/her to fine tune your academic presentation
The knowledge review sheets contain six sections:
- PADI Scuba Review
Whether you are a certified PADI Diver or certified through another organization, the Scuba Review program is a great way to refresh your diving knowledge and skills. PADI's Scuba Review Online provides the convenience and flexibility to complete a prescriptive review of previously learned diving knowledge from the comfort of your home. After completing the knowledge review online, you'll refresh your diving skills in confined water with a PADI Professional at an authorized PADI Dive Center or Resort.
- PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy
The Knowledge development module for PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy is covered in the ‘PADI Adventures in Diving' / PADI Advanced DIved manual You will need to pre-read this section before the start of the course
- PADI Underwater Navigation
The Knowledge development module for PADI Underwater Navigation is covered in the ‘PADI Adventures in Diving' / PADI Advanced DIved manual. You will need to pre-read this section before the start of the course
- PADI Deep Diver
The Knowledge development module for PADI Deep Diver is also covered in the ‘PADI Adventures in Diving' / PADI Advanced DIved manual You will need to pre-read this section before the start of the course
- PADI Underwater Naturalist
The Knowledge development module for Underwater Naturalist is contained in the‘PADI Adventures in Diving' / PADI Advanced DIved manual You will need to pre-read this section before day two of the course
- PADI Night Diving
The Knowledge development module for PADI Night Diving is contained in the‘PADI Adventures in Diving' / PADI Advanced DIved manual You will need to pre-read this section before the course.
PADI Advanced Open Water Scuba Course. Example Timetable |
Pre-Course: (usually at least one Day prior to commencement) |
Complete pre-course enrolment paperwork, provide copy of Open Water Diver Training (certification card and logbook)
Day One 7.30am : Pick up from Hotel
Pay balance of course fee and complete required paperwork, hand in completed Scuba Review questions.
Classroom: Introduction by PADI Instructor followed with PADI Adventures in Diving and PADI Peak Performance Buoyancyaudio-visuals PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy knowledge reviews and completion of knowledge development module.
Open Water Dive 1 (Tulamben Wreck / Padang Bai Diver Training area)
Putting into practice the elements of PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy
Lunch: During your lunch break check your completed knowledge reviews for PADI Underwater Navigation so that they are ready to hand into your PADI Instructor after the break.
Classroom: PADI Underwater Navigation presentation followed by some dry land practical skills.
Open Water Dive 2 (Coral Gardens diver training area) |
Putting into practice the elements of PADI Underwater Navigation
Classroom: PADI Deep diver presentation and completion of PADI Deep Diver Knowledge reviews.
Open Water Dive 3: PADI Night Dive : Either Tulamben or Blue Lagoon Padang Bai
Homework: read ‘Adventures in Diving' text chapters on PADI Underwater Naturalist and PADI Deep Diving
Day Two 7.30am : (Early morning departure)
Open Water Dive 4 (Departs Padang Bai –check with instructor) |
Putting into practice the elements of PADI Deep Diver
Lunch Break: (reconvening during the afternoon)
Classroom: PADI Underwater Naturalist presentation PADI Night Diving presentation and discussion on skill adaptation for night diving Completion of Knowledge reviews for both PADI Night and PADI Naturalist Diver sections
Evening meal break:
Open Water Dive 5(note: PADI Underwater Naturalist / PADI night dive is conducted at dusk and finishes around 8.00pm —Tulamben / Padang Bai diver training area)
